Django Reinhardt Sheetmusic
In 1934 the Quintet du Hot Club de France was formed with Django on guitar, Stephane Grappelli on violin, Django's brother Joseph and Roger Chaput on rythum guitars and Louis Vola on double bass. The group signed to Ultraphone Records.
In 1946 Django toured America for the first time with Duke Ellington. His rythum and single note playing were devastating, he used heavy gauge strings and played with such force that his guitar had to be replaced every 6 months. His playing also consisted of the use of strong vibrato and individual octave playing and amazing rythum work. He did not read music, Django Reinhardt died aged 43 in May 1953.
