9 scenes is a helluva a lot and did you watch the trailers for this, its said the untold story BEGINS they cant tell the whole thing in one movie. and yes the others are far more cheesy, not to mention chauvinistic and stereotypically flawed in the nerd aspect

You`re oversimplifying the Lizard Arc . Peter tries to stop The Lizard because the cross-species genetics tend to result in insanity with Peter being an exception due to still being mostly human and he doesn`t even know how long he`ll stay that way . Also , he`s trying to stop the Lizard out of guilt for being partially responsible for what Connors became since he came up with the equation for Connors` Lizard formula . As Peter says , " I have to stop him `cause I created him " .

Peter is tired and depressed because hes being a super hero and school, events, ect This causes him to lose his powers. He is thinking he should quit being spider-man because he's losing his powers, and the newspaper is calling him a criminal. He quits being spider-man and gets his life back,while doc ock wants to create a "Sun" So people can save on energy, it goes hay wire but he wont quit. TASM: Spider-man tries to stop the lizard because he's trying to make everyone lizards to help humanity
