fittest man in the world? wtf lmao what does that even mean
aw nice, well i been gyming at a traditional gym for couple years now and this year started to incorporate crossfit, i bought a bumper weight set and barbell for all those olympic movements and i also do all the other exercises muscle ups, toes to bar etc. Good burning workouts ive tried some of the WODs
Yeah man! I used to do alot of powerlifting so following a training regimen like Rich and Dan's was an extremely smooth transition.. what about you brother??
crossfit is awesome ae, you training for it?
I am having fun with crossfit, thanks! :D
low muscle mass? you're a dumbass.. like most crossfitters. Decathletes train for the shotput, discus, and javelin. These athletes have extensive training with powercleans, deadlifts, and snatches. Have you ever seen a a shot putter, some of the most explosive people on the planet. The champions at the crossfit games have been doing it for 1-2years. Decathletes have been doing this since elementary school dumbass. have fun with crossfit, peace kid.
So therefore you are wrong.
A decathlete HAS to have low muscle mass in order to perform the strenuous cardiovascular training over long amount of time.. So in order for a decathlete to compete in crossfit, they would need to build muscle mass in order to do certain exercises (deadlifts, clean and jerk, ohs) and reach the minimum requirement fro weight lifted. Once they attain this increased muscle mass, their cardio HAS to decrease via lack of cardiovascular training, in order to maintain the newly formed muscle mass.
reach an olympic level
Crossfitters know the movements and the shortcuts to the workouts, if a decathlete trained for crossfit, he would destroy these guys easily. I think it's safe to say that a decathlete wants to be top in the world for a real sport, rather than downgrading himself to some petty crossfit exercises. converesely, a crossfitter could NEVER
Then do it, tough guy. If it's so stupid, and you obvious are an expert on the subject, why don't you set up your own sporting event and leave us crossfitters out of your stupidity?
wow that logic is just stupid!I can organize a sporting event claiming the winner gets title "best football player on earth" and 250k, the task will be 100000 jumping jacks, so if any football player really was the best, he'd take some time and win that event, won't he?
You make a good point. Since the competition is greater and greater each year I'd say the latter would be the fittest. It makes more sense to me to call a Decathelete the best athlete in the world while calling a CrossFitter the fittest person in the world.
Your definition of fittest is entirely circular. Decathlon is 10 standard events. One can compare how generalized they are by comparing their decathlon scores to the world record scores in the events. One can't even compare CrossFit Games winners from year to year since the events are different and the order is different. Who was more fit, the 2008 or 2010 CrossFit winner?
Decathletes use a lot more skill than CrossFitters. If they were indeed the FITTEST (not most skilled) athletes in the world, they'd take a little while to win that 250k for first prize.
why would decathletes compete in a new exercise/sport? Should be the CrossFitters competing against the Olympic event that has been around for >100 years.
If that were true they'd compete in CrossFit and win!
I think you mean "green"diculous.
The winner of the decathlon at the Olympics is the fittest in the world, for real.
This guy has a broadcasting job??? rediculous
