Root Ace@Playomatic You should indeed. I went one April and we were soaking from over a mile away. You didn't get to see much but the sheer ferocity of the sound and mist was an amazing experience on its own.

@Krantz2389 I agree. I'd really like to see Angel Falls, too. It's on my list of awesome waterfalls to see before I die. Victoria Falls is definitely on my list of favorite places and I'd go back in a heartbeat!

I completely agree. It's just one of those clearly great places on Planet Earth. I think Africa must have many of those and I'd like to see more of them.

I was there in 2005. For me Vic Falls are one of the greatest places in the World. Thanks for upload

The falls are actually in both countries. On one side you have Zambia and on the other Zimbabwe. Incidentally, both used to be one country and it was called Rhodesia. Zambia was in North Rhodesia and Zimbabwe was in South Rhodesia. Both got their independence from Britain with firstly, Zambia which became a republic in October 1964. It took much longer for Zimbabwe as that didn't gain independence until April 1980.

In this video, yes it is but I lived in Zambia as a child in the 70s and when we went, there was a huge amount of water thundering over the top the whole length of the falls. It is quite sad to see that there isn't nearly as much water but then, perhaps this was filmed during the 'dry season' and not the 'rainy season'.
