Bo Diddley's music was influenced by post war Chicago blues, he recorded with the Chess label. He was known as a guitar player for his 'jungle rythums'. Rarely playing twelve bar blues, Diddley chose to make his verses long and to stay on one chord for a long time. His band featured Diddley on guitar and vocals, Jerome Arnald on maracas, Otis Span on piano, Billy Boy Arnald on harmonica and Diddley's half sister, the 'Duchess'. Bo Diddley's songs have been performed note for note by Buddy Holly and The Rolling Stones.

Born in the Mississipi on December 29 1928 but grew up in Chicago. His guitars were made by Gretsch in an amazing assortment of shapes and sizes. Some were oblong and some were finished with fur.
